About The Role

Are you ready to take the next big step in your maritime consulting career? Have you already gained some experience at a consultancy in this field? Are you looking for a role where you’ll be supported to manage aspects of a diverse range of projects including supporting consenting for offshore wind farms, navigation planning and safety measure design for new ports/harbours, and post decommissioning of oil/gas fields? 

Nash Maritime has recently joined the APEM Group and is growing.  We are looking to recruit a Senior Maritime Consultant to deliver innovative whole-lifecycle solutions for major marine infrastructure developments. If you are looking for a diverse role where you can develop your skills across the maritime navigation sector, whilst developing your project management and staff mentoring experience, then this role could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

You will apply your technical knowledge to analyse potential impacts to shipping and navigation from proposed operations and developments, delivering assessments of navigational risk and working with multi-disciplinary teams to provide evidence-based advice and innovative solutions to clients. You will also take an active role in managing elements of projects you are involved in, ensuring that quality, time, and costs are managed and that all risks are escalated to Principal Consultants where appropriate.

About you

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience and interest in the maritime industry, perhaps from experience in shipping, ports, offshore renewables, or even a sea-faring pastime.  You will be educated to degree level, preferably MSc, in a relevant discipline, and have previous experience in client liaison and/or stakeholder management. Previous experience in project management would be beneficial, as well as excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to adapt your style to a varied audience.  Whether working independently or as part of a team, your enthusiasm, drive, and eagerness to learn will make you an invaluable addition to our team.
