About The Role

Are you a civil engineer with experience in designing in-river civil engineering and hydraulic projects? Do you have experience in helping to design fish passes, eel passes, river restoration projects, fish screens and natural flood management schemes?
 
Do you want to work on a variety of interesting and exciting projects, that have real world tangible benefits to our rivers and watercourses across the UK? We are seeking a talented individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on our aquatic environment and river habitats. At APEM, our engineering projects encompass the entire spectrum, starting from comprehensive site assessments and feasibility studies and extending to detailed designs. By joining our team, you'll collaborate closely with our renowned aquatic and environmental scientists, embarking on challenging and fulfilling projects that make a significant impact on the aquatic environment and river habitats across the British Isles.
 
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience of working in a commercial consulting environment, including the engineering design of in-river projects.
  • Application of the CDM regulations including actively identifying and mitigating risks during design.
  • Ability to produce and review tenders/proposals that demonstrate cost-effective quality and expertise.
  • Hold a relevant BEng or MEng degree.
  • Hold chartered engineer status with ICE or CIWEM, or be working towards achieving this.
