Due to continued success and a strong pipeline of exciting projects, we are seeking a Principal Consultant – Planning and Approvals to join our team.
In this key role, you'll lead the delivery of approvals and environmental assessment programs across diverse renewable energy projects. You'll guide projects through site selection, feasibility, regulatory frameworks, and the obtainment of statutory approvals, while mentoring junior team members and strengthening client relationships. Your contributions will shape the planning and approval aspects of transformative renewable energy developments across Queensland and beyond.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 10+ years of professional experience in planning, approvals, or environmental assessment, with a focus on energy sector projects.
- Extensive knowledge of Queensland's Planning Act 2016 and related legislation.
- A proven track record of obtaining statutory approvals for renewable energy projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, including experience in technical reporting and presentation.
- A degree in environmental science, planning, or environmental management.
