Are you highly organised and looking to kickstart your career in project management? Do you enjoy problem-solving, working with systems, and helping teams deliver their best work? Want a role that gives you exposure to both technical projects and business improvement?
We’re looking for a Project Administrator to join our Terrestrial Ecology team at APEM Group. This is an exciting opportunity to support a wide variety of projects across the land and ecology sector—helping to ensure they run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, supporting project builds, updates, and reporting through our specialist project management systems. You’ll also play an active part in process improvement, helping to develop templates, resources, and documentation that improve how we deliver work across the business.
This is a great opportunity for a proactive graduate who thrives on detail, enjoys working with data and systems, and wants to develop hands-on experience in project administration and management. If you're interested in this role, all we need is a brief covering letter where you explain why you want to work for an environmental consultancy.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong computer literacy, with excellent skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Confidence in analysing data from multiple sources
- Experience creating documents such as templates, process maps, presentations, or user guides
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
- A diligent, results-focused mindset and a genuine interest in project delivery
What helps you stand out:
- At least 12 months’ relevant work experience
- Experience supporting project management or coordination activities
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Deltek, CRM or similar
- Experience preparing project documents (e.g. project plans, risk registers, status reports)
- Confidence presenting to colleagues or external audiences
At APEM, you’ll join a supportive and forward-thinking team that values integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We’ll provide you with training and development—including the chance to become a subject matter expert in our systems (such as Deltek)—and help you build a career in project management with real progression opportunities. This is your chance to be part of a people-first consultancy where your skills, ideas, and curiosity will help shape how we deliver projects that make a difference.
You will be offered the chance to work on a variety of projects, many of our employees have worked on projects that have been of personal interest to them. We match this with a commitment to continuous development and learning to support your career.
