Are you an experienced Environmental Consultant specialising in the water environment? Do you enjoy bringing together multiple technical disciplines to deliver complex, high-quality environmental assessments? Are you ready to step into a role that blends technical leadership, coordination and project management?
Due to continued growth and demand for our expertise, APEM’s Water Management Division is looking to appoint a Principal Consultant – Water Assessments to join our Environmental Appraisal team.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will act as both technical author and project integrator, coordinating inputs across water quality, hydrology, hydromorphology, flood risk, groundwater and aquatic ecology. You will take ownership of delivering polished, evidence-led outputs including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) chapters, Water Framework Directive (WFD) assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA), research reports and monitoring programmes.
Working across freshwater, estuarine and coastal environments, you will support clients in the water, energy, infrastructure and conservation sectors. You will also contribute to tender development, marketing and business growth activities, playing an active role in shaping and expanding our environmental assessment capability.
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your influence, strengthen your technical leadership and make a meaningful contribution to projects that protect and enhance the water environment.
