About The Role

Are you an experienced Principal Ecologist ready to take the next step in your career? Do you want to play a key role within a senior leadership team, shaping delivery and supporting the strategic direction of a growing consultancy? Are you confident leading people, developing capability and delivering complex ecological projects?
 
 Woodrow is looking for an Associate Director - Ecology to support the continued growth and capability of our established consultancy team. You’ll work across a multidisciplinary group of terrestrial, aquatic and environmental specialists, delivering projects across the Island of Ireland, with occasional involvement in GB work.
 
 In this role, you’ll lead and support the delivery of large and complex ecological programmes, working closely with key clients to ensure quality, budget and programme expectations are met. You’ll play an active role in developing and mentoring team members, strengthening capability across the business, and contributing to the wider leadership and direction of the ecology team.
 
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
 
  • A minimum of 10 years’ postgraduate experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Irish environmental sector.
  • Strong understanding of Irish regulators, key clients (e.g. water, energy, infrastructure) and stakeholder environments.
  • Proven experience delivering work under Irish environmental legislation, including Appropriate Assessment, NIS, EcIA and ECoW
  • A strong background in private sector environmental consultancy.
