Macro Works, part of the APEM Group is looking for a Senior Digital Graphic Artist to take a leading role within our specialist Graphics team. You’ll produce and lead complex visualisation and photomontage work supporting planning applications, consultations, appeals and major development projects. Working alongside Graphics, GIS, LVIA and 3D specialists, you’ll coordinate inputs and ensure visualisations accurately reflect project designs and meet the required technical standards.
This role combines technical delivery with project coordination, quality assurance, client engagement and team development. You’ll help shape visualisation standards and workflows across the business, contribute to innovation and emerging technologies, and support the development of junior Graphic Artists while continuing to build your own specialist expertise.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Degree qualification in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visualisation, Illustration, 3D Modelling, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design or a related discipline.
- Significant experience producing planning visualisations, photomontages and verified views for development projects.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Working knowledge of GIS, CAD and 3D modelling workflows.
- Excellent understanding of visualisation methodologies, industry guidance and quality assurance requirements.
- Strong technical understanding of photography, panorama creation, image processing and photomontage production.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, plans, models and spatial information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience managing client relationships and technical discussions.
Desirable:
- Experience leading visualisation packages for major infrastructure, renewable energy, transport or strategic development projects.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience supporting project budgeting, forecasting and resource planning.
- Experience preparing visualisations for planning appeals, oral hearings, consultations, RFIs and CFI submissions.
