About The Role

Are you an experienced integration professional who enjoys getting stuck into the detail and making things happen, rather than simply managing a project plan? Do you take real accountability for outcomes, rolling up your sleeves to solve problems, coordinate activity and deliver the changes needed to bring businesses together? Are you looking for a role where you can combine project discipline with hands-on integration delivery in a fast-growing, acquisitive organisation?

It’s an exciting time to join APEM. As we continue to grow through acquisition, we’re looking for an Integration Manager to help turn acquisitions into successful, integrated businesses. This is not a role where you simply manage an integration programme from the sidelines. We’re looking for someone who will take accountability for delivery and spend a significant proportion of their time doing the integration work. You will be on the front foot working directly with teams, solving issues, coordinating actions and making sure agreed changes happen. You will spend a large proportion of your time hands-on delivering integration activity, rather than purely project managing it.

You will take ownership from deal close through to successful integration, keeping momentum across multiple workstreams and ensuring that actions, decisions and dependencies are actively managed. You’ll work closely with colleagues to understand what needs to change and make it happen.

You’ll also build strong relationships with leaders in acquired businesses, providing structure and support while navigating the inevitable complexity that comes with bringing organisations together. You'll need to be comfortable getting into the weeds, challenging when things aren't moving quickly enough and finding practical solutions when plans don't go to plan.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience delivering business integration, transformation or change programmes
  • A track record of taking personal accountability for delivery and outcomes
  • Experience working across multiple functions and coordinating complex activity
  • Strong project management skills, but with a genuine willingness to roll your sleeves up and do the work
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The confidence to challenge, escalate and drive action when required
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to problem solving

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience integrating acquisitions or newly acquired businesses
  • Experience within a professional services, consultancy or project-based environment
  • Exposure to People, Finance, IT or operational integration
  • Experience working within a fast-growth or acquisitive organisation

At APEM, you’ll join a business going through significant growth and change, where successful integration is critical to our ability to realise the value of our acquisitions. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to work across the Group, influence senior stakeholders and see the direct results of your work.

If you’re someone who wants to own the outcome, get into the detail and make integration happen, not just manage a project plan, then apply now.
