About The Role

APEM Group is a world-class, independent environmental consultancy, providing expert scientific advice across industries such as water, renewables, infrastructure, and power. As we expand our Marine Infrastructure Services (MIS) sector, we are seeking a Head of Service Line (Ports) to lead and grow our ports EIA and development support portfolio. This is a key strategic role responsible for developing a long-term business development plan, identifying new market opportunities, managing key accounts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality environmental services within the ports sector. 

In this role, you will take the lead in defining and executing an intelligence-led business development strategy, working closely with our leadership teams to identify opportunities and expand our services. You will build strong client relationships, track industry trends, and provide market insights to inform strategic decision-making. Your role will also involve overseeing project delivery, ensuring that port infrastructure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. 

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a new strategic role within a growing and successful consultancy. You will be joining a dynamic and innovative team, working on high-profile projects that shape the future of port infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in the planned, strategic growth of ports environmental consultancy, with a focus on collaborative business development and team leadership. You should have strong knowledge of the regulatory, technical, and commercial aspects of the industry, along with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. A strategic mindset, data-driven approach, and ability to collaborate across teams will be essential in driving success in this role.
