We’re looking for a Senior Terrestrial Ornithology Consultant to join our Irish consultancy team!
As a Senior Terrestrial Ornithology Consultant, you'll be leading the delivery of terrestrial ornithology projects across Ireland, managing projects from inception through to completion and acting as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders. You'll also be providing technical expertise in ornithological survey design, data interpretation and impact assessment, while supporting the continued growth and development of APEM's terrestrial ornithology offering in Ireland.
You'll be closely support by our team, working closely with the Principal Consultant and wider ornithology team to deliver high-quality technical outputs, develop client relationships and mentor junior team members.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Degree in Ecology, Zoology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of bird ecology, ornithological survey methods and impact assessment.
- Experience delivering ornithological consultancy projects.
- Experience managing project budgets, programmes and client relationships.
- Experience preparing technical reports for planning and consenting applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of consultancy project delivery.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
