Macro Works, part of APEM, specialises in landscape and visual consultancy, delivering LVIA for major infrastructure, renewable energy and development projects across Ireland and the UK. We’re looking for an LVIA Consultant to join the team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
As LVIA consultant, you’ll undertake landscape and visual assessments, prepare sections of LVIA reports, carry out site surveys and visibility analysis, and contribute to cumulative assessments and planning documentation. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the business, supporting multidisciplinary project teams and contributing to client and stakeholder discussions.
You’ll have the opportunity to build your experience across a range of projects, developing your technical judgement and understanding of LVIA, planning and environmental assessment processes.
To be successful, you’ll have
- Degree in landscape architecture, environmental planning, geography or related discipline
- Demonstrable experience in LVIA or related environmental assessment work
- Good understanding of:
- GLVIA3 and landscape/visual impact assessment methodologies
- Planning policy and environmental assessment processes
- Ability to undertake independent technical assessments and report writing
- Experience using GIS and spatial analysis tools
- Strong organisation, time management and communication skills
- Ability to manage workload and deliver outputs to deadlines
Desirable
- Experience with renewable energy and infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of photomontage processes and visualisation tools
- Familiarity with CAD or Adobe software
- Experience supporting planning submissions or EIAR processes
- Full driving licence
You will work across office, remote and site-based environments, including undertaking field surveys, travelling to sites and working outdoors in varying weather conditions where required.
