About The Role

At Attexo, part of the global APEM Group, we are proud to contribute to some of the country’s most transformative renewable energy projects, including wind farms, solar farms, grid-scale batteries, and hydrogen production. With a strong pipeline of exciting projects, we are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our growing ecology and offsets team.

In this key role, you will support the delivery of ecological assessments for major renewable energy projects. From conducting flora and fauna surveys to contributing to environmental assessments and project approvals, your expertise will ensure successful outcomes for our clients. You’ll also play a pivotal role in mentoring junior team members, fostering their professional growth both in the field and the office.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant experience in delivering ecological assessments for project development and approvals.
  • Proven expertise in conducting flora and fauna surveys, including mapping vegetation communities and identifying rare and threatened species.
  • A strong working knowledge of Queensland’s regulatory frameworks and relevant Commonwealth legislation, with experience in other states highly regarded.
  • A degree in environmental science, natural resources, or a related discipline, meeting suitability requirements for ecological assessments.
  • A demonstrated understanding of biodiversity offsets, mitigation strategies, and rehabilitation solutions.
